Emotions…

By themselves, they are just feelings, but when we give energy to them, they can become the best thing, or the worst thing. They can take over our whole day. Learning how to manage them takes practice but is worth the effort.

When I help someone with anxiety or depression or other emotions, we use a ‘whole person approach.’

Some of the things we talk about:

  • Emotional - what emotions are causing these feelings?

  • Mental - what sort of conversations are you having with yourself about this?

  • Physical - what are you eating? Are you sleeping well? Exercising?

  • Work- what parts of work or finances are contributing to this?

  • Social- Who are you spending time with? Social media intake?

  • Spiritual- Do you have a belief system that can help?
